Zoho Desk app update (iOS and Android) - Read Receipts

Hello Everyone!

We have brought in support for 'Read Receipts' functionality in the current version of the iOS (v2.7.2) and Android (2.6.8) Zoho Desk mobile app. With read receipts, you can now gain insights into the delivery and read status of the outbound email threads.

Here are the different read receipt statuses:

  • Delivered: This status indicates that the email(s) has been successfully delivered to the recipient(s), but they have not viewed the emails yet.

  • Read by: When the recipients have read the emails, the read receipt status will display the names of those who have viewed them.

  • Bounced: If the email fails to be delivered due to technical issues, such as when the email servers are down, the status will show as "Bounced."

  • Failed: When the email address is invalid, the status will appear as "Failed."

Please note that if any of the email addresses added to the thread are invalid, the entire thread will fail, meaning that the respective email will not be delivered to any valid email addresses as well.

Steps to enable Read Receipts:

  • Go on to the Zoho Desk web app(desk.zoho.com).
  • Select 'Settings' (gear icon) option.
  • Select 'Privacy Settings' option to select 'Read Receipts' option available on the left pane.
  • Select 'Configure' option to add the desired departments.
  • Select 'Save'.

To view the Read Receipts within the app, simply tap on the tick mark that appears within the ticket details view.
