Zoho CRM : Wizard New Rules and Buttons for Better Navigation

Hello everyone,

Zoho announced that you can now set up rules across multiple screens in Wizards with the new cross-screen field support!

Previously, conditional rules only worked within one screen, which meant you had to create extra fields to connect information across screens. Now, with cross-screen field support, you can use information from earlier screens to set conditions on later ones, making the process smoother and more efficient.

Here's an example of how it works in a bank account registration wizard:

  1. The first screen gathers basic details like name, phone number, email, and age.

  1. The second screen collects address information.

  1. The third screen shows guardian information but only if the "age" field on the first screen is 18 or younger.

This condition is set on the third screen but relies on the age entered in the first screen.

Cross-screen field support allows you to set rules using fields from earlier screens, while keeping the actions linked to the specific screen where they are needed. This setup adapts conditions based on previous inputs, creating a seamless and user-friendly experience.

Let's look at another scenario—a product customization wizard:

  1. The first screen gathers basic user information.

  2. The second screen lets the user select a product type, like "smartphone" or "laptop," and enter the model.

  3. Based on these selections, the third screen displays relevant choices, such as color options for smartphones or processor options for laptops, by referencing the earlier inputs.

This setup makes the process more streamlined while keeping each screen focused on its specific tasks.

In both cases, cross-screen field support helps you create adaptive rules based on fields from earlier screens. It ensures each action is only relevant to the screen you’re on, making navigation intuitive and efficient.

Additionally, with the "back" button on the bottom left corner and breadcrumb navigation on top, users can easily move between screens, adding more convenience to the experience.
