Zoho CRM: Smarter Data Handling with List View Updates

Managing your day-to-day CRM activities just got smoother with a few upgrades to the modular List Views. These improvements aim to streamline operations, making data handling quicker and more intuitive.

List Views present data in a tabular format, tailored to specific business needs, making it easier to manage customer information. Let’s dive into these recent enhancements.

 

1. Updated Activity Badge  

The activity badge beside each record now displays all pending tasks, including meetings, calls, and appointments associated with that record. Additionally, a Create Activity option allows users to add new tasks quickly. While the activity badge was previously available in certain modules, it’s now extended to more, including:
  1. Cases
  2. Invoices
  3. Quotes
  4. Sales Order
  5. Purchase Orders
  6. Campaigns
  7. Vendors


2. Filter Options in Each Column  

Gone are the days of scrolling through side panels to filter records by fields. Now, every column in List Views features a Filter by option, making it easier to filter data based on the visible fields directly.

The side panel remains available for filtering hidden fields, but this new addition is a quick shortcut for fields visible in the main view.


3. Hiding Columns Made Easy  

A new Hide Column feature is now part of every column in List Views. Instead of navigating to Manage Columns to deselect a field, users can simply hide it with a click.


Key Points to Note:



Only one column can be hidden at a time.

The Hide Column option is disabled if the field is the sole mandatory default field visible.

To restore hidden columns, use Manage Columns to reselect them.


With these enhancements, navigating and managing CRM data becomes more efficient, letting you focus on what matters most—your business.
