Zoho CRM: New Updates for Better Call Logging and Flexibility

Hello everyone,

Zoho introduced new “To Number” and “From Number” fields in the Calls module to give users greater control over their call tracking preferences. You can now easily enable or disable these fields through the Calls Preferences tab.


What’s New?  

When enabled, these fields will appear in the call layout, offering a structured way to capture phone details. If disabled, they will remain hidden for a cleaner layout.

  • To Number: Captures the recipient’s phone number.

  • From Number: Captures the caller’s phone number.

These fields are key for precise call tracking, logging, and reporting, helping teams manage interactions efficiently.



Important Notes:  

  • If you have telephony integration enabled, these fields will automatically appear in the call layout and will be enabled by default in the Calls Preferences tab when a call record is logged through the phone system.

  • Fields marked as mandatory cannot be disabled.

  • For calendar-based bookings, enabling the “To Number” field is required to proceed.
