Zoho announced  Zoho Crm innovation with Canvas functionality now extends to record forms, enabling you to personalize record entries with the power of Canvas!


Enhancing CRM Interactions with Canvas

In the heart of any CRM lies the ability to manage and interact with customer data effectively. To elevate this experience, we've expanded our custom design studio in Zoho CRM to support custom record forms. Now, you can transition from the standard two-column record entry page to a personalized layout tailored to your business needs, seamlessly integrating your company's branding elements.

Why build a Canvas record form?


Previously, creating records was confined to a standard view with limited customization, restricting your ability to tailor forms to your business processes, requirements, and branding. Canvas support for record forms transforms this by allowing you to customize fields and sections, ensuring every interaction with your CRM is intuitive and efficient.

Customizable record forms

Easily modify and design your record forms to streamline data entry, highlight key information, and create a visually engaging interface that reflects your brand. Customize layouts, field alignments, color schemes, and font styles to ensure each form represents your business's identity effectively.


Introducing the Form View Tab

We've added a new tab called Form View, enabling you to customize and access form views. In this tab, you can see all the form views created for various modules, create new form views, import Canvas templates, create Canvas assignments, manage Canvas rules, and handle Canvas keys.


Elements of the Canvas record form builder

  • Data: Includes essential module information such as contact name, email address, assigned record owner, and other relevant details.

  • Elements: Comprises various tools like images, lines, tables, sections, text boxes, buttons, and icons.

  • Styles: Offers a range of formatting choices to enhance visual appeal, including colors, font styles, sizes, borders, padding, and corner radii to match your branding.

Field State Editor and Emphasizing Fields

With record forms now supported in Canvas, we've also introduced the field state editor. This enables you to highlight fields based on different states, such as default style, mandatory fields, data errors based on validation rules, or when a field is disabled for editing. This additional level of customization enhances visibility for your sales reps.


Feature availability 

  • The Canvas record form feature will be available for all paid editions of Zoho CRM.
