Zoho Bookings product update: Calendar Unification

We've been noticing the noise around Calendar integrations and events sync. Well, look no further. We've put in some sleek work to bring all the action in one place, improved the UX and put in measures to notify users when things go south.

Below is what changed and what is made better.


"Manage Calendars" goes away


Admins previously had to authorize calendars under Integrations > Calendars tab and then configure them under Managers Calendars > My Profile.

Now, do both under Integrations > Calendars.



Staff will have an exclusive Calendar Integrations tab to manage their calendars. Every staff is allowed number of calendars (6 for Premium and 2 for Basic plans - Zoho CRM Calendars do not count).


Get notified when calendar sync breaks



  • In-app notifications - Get notified when a calendar sync breaks.



  • Visuals cues for sync issues - See visual cues on respective sections tracing all the way to the respective calendar failure.

  • Email notifications - Receive emails when calendar sync failures happen, with steps to restore the integration.

Staff calendars

  • Staff can now add or authorize without having the Admins to initialize them.
    P.S: Zoho CRM calendars alone can be integrated only after Super Admin enables the integration)



  • Admins will have view-only access to staff calendars.

Zoho CRM calendar sync

  • Integration can be enabled only by the Super Admin.
  • Staff can subscribe to the sync only if they're part of the Zoho CRM org.

Calendar sync

  • Enable one-way or two sync

  • Disable sync - Stop receiving or sending events between calendars (Enable any time to resume sync).

  • Disconnect - Render calendar integrations inactive (requires reauthorization to start sync)

Calendar invites

  • Send calendar invites from only one calendar (for new customers. Old customers will continue to use their configured calendars as before)

Improved sync intervals

  • Zoho Calendar sync is now instant
  • Calendar sync made more stable and better troubleshooting measures introduced.
  • Google and Outlook calendars will be instantly synced

Note: We rolled out the new UI/UX changes on Feb 23, 2023. New users (sign-ups and customers). Old users will start seeing the new UI within a couple of weeks from now.
