We are delighted to share the latest features and enhancements we've released this past month. This month's updates range from new allocation methods for landed cost to design enhancements in certain modules. Keep reading to learn what's new in Zoho Books this July.
Zoho Books is Corporate Tax Ready! [UAE Edition]
Staying compliant with the latest tax regulations in the UAE just became a lot easier. You can now set up corporate tax settings for your organization. Once done, you can generate corporate tax returns, record the corresponding payments in Zoho Books, and view your payment history - all without any hassle. You also have the option of marking your corporate tax returns as filed or deleting them, if required.
Note: This feature is available only for organizations in the Professional plan or above.
To set up corporate tax in your organization: Go to Settings > Taxes > Corporate Tax.
New Allocation Methods for Landed Cost
We've introduced two new allocation methods, Dimensions and Weight while adding landed cost to items. Items that have the highest weight or dimensions will be allocated the highest landed cost. In cases where one or more items have the same weight or dimensions, the item with the highest quantity will be allocated the highest landed cost. You can choose to apply the allocation method to all the items in your bill or only selected items. This feature is available for organizations with the Zoho Inventory Add-on.
Regional Language Support [India & Global Edition]
Zoho Books is now available in five new languages! This includes Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and Kannada. The language settings, once configured, will also be applied in the Customer and Vendor portals. Please note that if you change the language of your organization, you will have to change the font in your existing templates to support the selected language on your transaction PDFs.

To change the language in your organization, go to Settings > Organization Profile. Click the Language dropdown and select the required language.
Additional Fields in Transfer Orders
You can now display additional information in transfer orders. This includes fields such as Amount, Total, Total in Words, HSN and Place of Supply. You can also choose to hide these fields by editing the transfer order PDF from Templates.
Staff Permissions for Delivery Challans [India & GCC Editions]
Users with the Staff role now have Full Access permission to manage delivery challans by default. This includes the ability to view, create, edit and delete delivery challans.
GCC Editions - UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait.
Design Enhancements
We've redesigned and brought in a few enhancements to certain sections in the Timesheet and Invoices modules to improve the overall user experience.
Timesheet - Calendar View
You can now click on any date to view all the timesheets of that particular date at a glance.
Invoices - Import Invoices
Drag and drop the file you want to import. Previously, you could only select and upload files.
Updates for Organizations with the Zoho Inventory Add-on
- You can now record payments for invoices created as part of the Automated Sales Order cycle or simply mark them as sent.
- Users now have the option to delete the Google Shopping integration right from the integrations list page.
