Zoho announced that Zoho Desk's setup page is getting a makeover to improve feature organization and navigation. Here's what's changing:
Why the Revamp?
Simplified Navigation: The new setup page is more intuitive, reducing clicks and search time.
Consistency: We've renamed some features and grouped related ones to enhance clarity and ease of use.
Future-Ready Design: The updated layout will support future enhancements and new features.
Key Changes
General is now Organization. "Holiday Lists" has its own spot, and Zia-related features have moved to a new category.
Users and Controls is now User Management. Roles, Profiles, and Data Sharing are more accessible.
Customization: Modules renamed to "Modules and Tabs," and new features like "Custom Buttons" added.
Automation: Features like "Notify" and "Skills" moved to Customization. "Action Gallery" is a new addition.
Data Administration: Import/Export split, and "Attachment Control" added.
Marketplace is now Integrations.
New sections added
Four sections have been introduced in the setup page based on the functionality the features offer:
Self Service
Guided Conversations has been moved from General to Self Service. ASAP has been moved from Channels to Self Service.
Zia
Dedicated section for Zia features, including Zia powered by GPT.
Privacy and Security
Dedicated section for Zia features, including Zia powered by GPT.
Personalization
New features like "My Profile" added
Note: The Developer Space section remains unchanged.
