We're thrilled to announce the release of Zoho CRM's new email configuration, which includes a range of exciting new features and improvements that will transform the way you manage your email. Without further ado, let's have a quick look at the most important enhancements and highlights.
New features and enhancements
Modern authentication support for Microsoft Office365 and Outlook
Microsoft no longer supports their basic authentication method. With our latest enhancement, we've introduced modern authentication support so that you can now securely and easily integrate your Office365 and Outlook accounts with Zoho CRM without requiring repeated sign-ins.
Email backup for IMAP users
We've introduced a backup option for IMAP users with this new configuration. However, please note that this feature is only available for users who use an IMAP integration with the new email configuration. For users without an IMAP integration or an old IMAP account, this feature will not be available.
SalesInbox support for POP3 users
Integrating your email account via POP3 will now create a SalesInbox account automatically. Previously, POP3 users had to integrate their CRM account with Zoho Mail, which created an Email module in the CRM account. With this new enhancement, emails will now sync with SalesInbox directly, and as a result, the Email tab will be removed from CRM for all users. Additionally, you can now import filters during the integration process itself.
Email workflows for POP3 users
We are now extending this facility to POP users. It enables you to create custom workflows for incoming, outgoing, and received emails to automate and streamline aspects of your email management and improve your productivity.
Email deal association
This feature now extends to POP3 users. It enables you to track and manage your deals easily by associating specific emails with individual deals. You can do this in two ways:
- Automatically link the contact's emails to deals based on a predefined prediction pattern.
- Manually link the contact's emails to a deal.
This way, you can easily follow up on or close a deal with distinct associated emails, rather than having all the contact's emails listed together.
Enhanced configuration page UI
We've updated our configuration page UI to make it more intuitive and user-friendly, so you can configure your email settings more easily.
You can now view all your emails in a related list, which makes it easier to manage your emails. However, please note that this feature will not be available if there is at least one old POP user in your organization, or at least one user with the Gmail API integration.
Zia for emails
Zia's AI capabilities offer some handy email solutions. It can help you capture important information from customer emails, as well as automatically suggest engaging subject lines to boost the open rates of emails; or, without even having to read an entire email conversation, you can determine the sender's intent and emotion, thanks to Zia's analysis.
In line with Zia intelligence features for email, we've added some enhancements which will be available only for the new email configuration. Here's a list of those features:
- Custom intent
- Consecutive negative sentiment alerts
- Activity extraction from Zia's notification panel
- Subject line suggestions
- Emotion analysis
