Zoho Cliq - Enhanced Call Controls

Hello Team,

We have some important announcement about how you manage call permissions in Zoho Cliq.

What’s New?

  1. New Location for Call Permissions We’re moving the permissions for “Audio Calls” and “Video Calls” from the “Live Media” section to a new place called “Direct Conversations” in the Roles module. Plus, we’re adding a new “Screen Share” control in this section.

  2. Updated Functionality Right now, turning off the "Start" permission for Audio Calls, Video Calls, and Screen Share stops users from making and receiving calls. With the upcoming update, turning off this permission will only prevent users from starting calls. They’ll still be able to receive calls from people in allowed roles.

Why Does This Matter?

This change will help you manage calls and screen sharing with more precision, similar to how you handle messaging permissions. It gives you better control to tailor Zoho Cliq to fit your needs perfectly.

When’s It Happening?

These changes will go live on September 15th, 2024.
