Zoho CRM is introducing a new feature to make assignment rules even more flexible and powerful. Administrators can now automate the assignment of records based on specific criteria. These criteria can be related to the fields in the record or the user associated with the record.
Examples of New Assignment Rules
Field-based criteria for assignment: An admin could automate records with the "Country" field set to "Canada" to be assigned to Kate.
User-based criteria for assignment: An admin could automate records created by Harriet to be reassigned to Evelyn.
New User-Based Criteria Qualifiers
Previously, the available qualifiers for user-based criteria were limited to: is, isn't, is empty, and is not empty.
Now, Zoho CRM is introducing two new qualifiers:
belongs to Role
does not belong to Role
How It Works
These new qualifiers allow administrators to assign records to users based on their roles. For instance, Zylker Architecture, an architecture firm, can use this feature to assign deals to senior architects automatically. If a deal requires a senior architect, the system can now assign it to any architect in a senior role.
This role-based user criteria enable more specific and accurate automated assignments, enhancing the efficiency of the CRM system.
This enhancement is available for all users across all data centers (DCs).
